If you have L&D management experience and are comfortable studying at postgraduate level, this is the programme for you. If you have studied at degree level or higher in a business related area but do not have L&D management experience, this programme could still be right for you. In this scenario we would strongly recommend you gain access to a mentor during your studies, or consider taking our CIPD Level 5 Certificate/Diploma in L&D programme first.
With this programme you can choose to use your current or past employer as the basis for your study or our unique immersive case study environment (DPG are the only CIPD Centre that offers this), so you get to practice risk free in a virtual online company.
Your Learning Options
Blended (Workshops and online)
Learn through on-line modules, which you access at your leisure, combined with regular interactive workshops. You can complete the certificate in as little as 12 months and the diploma in 24 months.
The Human Resources Development programme includes four core modules which are the same as those in the Human Resource Management programme. There are then four different specialist L&D focussed modules.
Once you’ve finished this Diploma programme, you will have achieved the highest standard of professionalism within the L&D field. You will also have achieved the knowledge required for CIPD Chartered membership. If you then have the relevant work experience, you can apply for a membership assessment (assessing your workplace activities and behaviours) and if successful, you will be upgraded to Chartered Member (MCIPD). You can find out more at www.cipd.co.uk.
If you are being funded by your employer, full payment of the programme is needed before your first workshop. Our programme advisors can help you build a business case for your employer outlining the benefits of studying a CIPD qualification. Call us on 0330 660 0220 to find out more.
If you are a self-funder, there’s a variety of flexible payment plans, with low deposits and the option of instalments over 6 to 48 months. For a personalised payment plan, please call one of our programme advisors who can talk you through all your options.
I’m really getting a lot out of the programme and I enjoy the blend between face-to-face, self-study, and community support. So far, the programme has really opened my eyes to a number of new ideas that I’ve been able to implement in my role.
The CIPD Level 7 programme has supported me in my development and has enabled me to progress in my role. My confidence has improved greatly in my role and not only that, I really enjoy my job.
The connections I built while studying have continued to develop over the past few years with regular networking get togethers. Achieving my CIPD Level 5 and Level 7 in HR Development through DPG has no doubt elevated my career by giving me the breadth of knowledge I needed to take on bigger and more challenging roles.
