Leadership & Management

ILM Level 2

This level is perfect if you’re just starting out in your management career. It is the perfect platform if you’re a new and aspiring team leader, or heading for promotion to team leader, and want to prove you have the skills and knowledge for the challenge.

ILM Level 3

This level is suitable if you already have management responsibilities but no formal training. It’s perfect if  you’re a team leader who will be leading people through organisational change, or if you’re looking to improve team performance.

ILM Level 5

This level would suit you if you’re a project manager, department head or middle manager who wants to develop your technical knowledge, strategic insight and practical expertise. This programme is ideal if you’re looking to get better results from your team or you’re preparing to take on more responsibility.

Coaching & Mentoring

ILM Level 3  

If you want to know how coaching works and want the tools and confident to coach people as part of your everyday role, this level is for you.

ILM Level 5

This level is ideal if you’re a manager who is already carrying out coaching and mentoring in your everyday role and are planning to move into a development role or start a career as a freelance coach or mentor.

ILM Level 7

This programme is for you if your focus is coaching and mentoring (as opposed to doing it as part of your role). It offers you the opportunity to develop expertise in the supervision of strategic, leadership, business or management coaching within an organisation.

Award, Certificate and Diploma

We carry out a training needs analysis and work with you through your requirements and objectives. This will enable you to benefit from the most suitable route to your development.

We consider your depth of knowledge, job function, and strategic plans for the future, as well as your experience to date. We also consider the practicalities in terms of flexibility and time away from the workplace.

  • You receive an objective managerial assessment called 360 Management Feedback with all our ILM programmes.  This tool enhances your learning by allowing direct reports, peers and managers to feed back against measured criteria in an anonymous safe environment so that you can build upon strengths and develop areas for improvement.

Apprenticeship Standards

For those contributing to the levy, we also offer Leadership & Management Standards Levels 3 and 5.

ILM have written a new qualification at both levels which mirrors the standards in their entirety and prepares apprentices for the end point assessment.

Apprentices benefit not only from the standard and the knowledge, skills and behaviour within it, but also gain a qualification and membership to the Institute.

Other Routes to Accreditation

If you work in HR and/or L&D and want to extend your skills to general management, then our dual award approach to ILM qualifications is the perfect solution for you. DPG’s CIPD qualifications at Foundation and Intermediate level have been mapped to the ILM qualification at Levels 3 and 5. If you already have a CIPD Foundation or Intermediate qualification with DPG or are working towards one at the moment, you will be able to “top up” your learning and gain the ILM Certificate or Diploma at Level 3 or 5 without having to undertake the entire programme. This is a fast and flexible route to gaining the accreditation.
