Jacquie Berey – Nursing Home Administrator

In Short

The online course with DPG has clearly been designed specifically for the 100% online learner and it not only works, it works well. You will not be disappointed.

Why did you choose DPG?

After researching various course providers, DPG seemed to offer something different. Most offered the online only versions but only to certificate level and I wanted to complete the diploma. The Course Advisors were helpful, yet not pushy which for me makes a huge difference. Corbin was my adviser and he answered all of my questions and concerns wonderfully.

How are you finding the online course?

I was apprehensive at first but there was no need to be. Gary, the personal facilitator is fantastic and is always ready to help. The e-lessons are amazing, and the business district, ZipHR, is a fabulous idea. It gives you the opportunity to put your learning in to practice. I also like the way that the assignments allow you to use your own organisation if you’d prefer, it’s helping me to build a portfolio of information which I can keep and use at work.

What were your goals of starting the programme?

I already had a basic knowledge of the practical day to day elements of HR but wanted to gain professional, in-depth knowledge, along with a recognised qualification to assist me in getting to where I want to be with my career.

What would you say to anyone thinking of starting a programme with DPG?

Go for it! It’s definitely worth completing. If you’re an aspiring HR professional, or are already working in HR and wish to gain a recognised qualification it works for both. The course has clearly been well thought out, and isn’t simply an online version of the traditional classroom environment which a lot are. The online course with DPG has clearly been designed specifically for the 100% online learner and it not only works, it works well. You will not be disappointed.
