Why did you choose DPG?

It was a really easy decision to make in choosing DPG. I was looking for a CIPD qualification and programme that was not just suitable for my level, but challenging as well. DPG offered a practical and applicable course whilst also allowing me the ability to fit studying in with a busy full time work schedule. What were your goals of starting the programme?

Obviously, some of the main goals of I had of starting the programme were to increase my potential for promotion and potential for earning more money. I also wanted a professional credential though that rapidly broadened my knowledge and skills in HR. From my current role as HR Manager, I found that studying a CIPD qualification would expand my industry knowledge and give me a better understanding to be able to deliver HR best practice in my role.

How did the programme help your career and where are you now?

The programme has vastly helped me in my career and I know it will in the future. As it’s the most recognised qualification in HR, I feel that I am held in a higher regard by my colleagues and line managers. I am also much more confident in the application of HR tasks in my job, and am able to tackle more complex HR issues on a wider scale in my organisation.

What would you say to anyone thinking of starting a programme with DPG?

Simply I would say to anyone thinking of starting a programme with DPG – JUST DO IT! Your hard work will pay off, and whilst sometimes it can feel hard to be able to juggle studying with work and life, in the end the qualification and the benefits from it out weigh this. Also, you’re not alone as the team of course facilitators offer in-depth and specialist support, as well as even just checking in to see you how you are getting on. The format of the DPG courses makes learning easier as well, especially with the more complex subjects. All in all, DPG were definitely the provider to go with.
