Who is the programme aimed at?
This programme is right for you if you are an aspiring or
existing HR Manager or have completed the Certificate in Personnel
Practice or the Certificate in Human Resources Practice. DPG
was the first national provider to launch this programme and it is
designed to provide a bridge between the CIPD Foundation and
post-graduate/Advanced Level study.
You may be just starting out in your HR Management career or
have lots of experience, either way this programme helps to develop
your knowledge, skills and understanding and equips you to drive
sustainable performance within your organisation. Based upon
accelerated learning principles our programme guarantees to advance
your learning and offer maximum returns to your organisation.
What does the programme consist of?
The programme provides you with the knowledge and skills to be a
next generation HR manager and consists of the following units:
- Developing Professional Practice
- Business Issues & the context of HR
- Managing and Co-ordinating the HR function
- Contemporary Developments in Employee Relations
- Resourcing and Talent Planning
- Using information in HR
- Reward Management
- HR Service Delivery
- Knowledge Management
How long does it take?
Our programme takes just ten months to complete and there are
eleven workshops to attend.
How is it delivered?
We are a CIPD specialist and very experienced in delivering high
quality flexible learning, you only attend one workshop per month
at one of our high quality venues across the UK. In between
workshop events you work through our highly rated CIPD flexible
learning materials at a time that suits you best. You have access
to the DPG Community, our dedicated
online platform to support your studies 24/7. The community
connects you with other learners who are on the same Learning
Journey. Your facilitator is also on hand outside of the workshops
to offer support when you need it via email, phone and via the
DPG community. We're committed to your
success and your experience is our highest priority.
Is it open to everyone?
Absolutely - there are no set entry requirements. The programme
is however aimed at aspiring or existing HR Managers. Pitched at
undergraduate level the programme requires you to demonstrate
higher level study skills e.g. analytical thinking, writing in a
concise and focussed way, research skills etc. If like many of our
other participants you have not studied for a long time rest

How much time do I need to commit?
It is recommended that you commit approximately eight to ten
hours self-study to the programme per week. Our programme is
designed to be as flexible as possible and gives you the control on
how and when you study. We create the environment and conditions
where learning can take place and treat you as adults in terms of
finding your own learning path.
Who delivers the workshops?
We hand pick our facilitators, all of whom are CPD qualified and
active HR practitioners. Our facilitators that have been carefully
selected based upon their practitioner experience, subject
knowledge and ability to inspire and develop others. All our
facilitators have a wealth of L&D experience and as such bring
a real depth of knowledge and insight to your programme. You can

Is the programme available on an in-house basis?
Yes we regularly work with clients on an in-house basis and have
recently worked with Midland HR, Royal Mail and Npower. If you are
looking to invest in your organisational development and have six
or more team members who would benefit from the CIPD qualification
we can deliver the programme for you on your own premises.
Open Taster Sessions
We understand that undertaking a qualification can be big
decision so as well as providing our free Look Before Your Book Guide we
also host Open Taster Sessions to provide an opportunity to talk
with our facilitators and see the DPG Difference first hand.
